Unavailable for WordPress Freelance Work

wordpress-logo-on-black-backgroundMy dear clients and prospects, this is the first post that I write directly to you and I am very happy to do so. I am obliged to inform you that for a short period of time I will not be able to accept any more WordPress freelance projects due to a large number of projects I am working on actually and, being a human, I cannot handle more. Of course I could accept all new applications, but that would destroy my daily life, my freelance business and my reputation as a freelancer. I consider this to be the best decision for the case.

You might be interested to know what made me get so many projects that I cannot handle them. I would love to share this with you and here it is why:

  1. First of all I am being so busy because of the growing demand for WordPress skills. This is now a fact.
  2. Secondly, it is for that fact that for a while (about a couple of months) I have been (and I’m still) the most important WordPress Freelancer in the world according to Google. This point deserves a whole post on how I reached that, which I am going to write soon hopefully, so stay tuned.
  3. The last but not the least, it is for the fact that I have a lot of returning clients due to my top-notch WordPress Freelance Services. This is another fact and it is supported by a large number of testimonials from clients that I am going to post soon, so again don’t forget to subscribe.

As this post was intended to be short, this is it for this time. Please share your thoughts below and have a nice time!

WPlancer is Releasing First Free WordPress Theme – Master

I am very happy to announce that I am releasing my first free WordPress theme ever. It is called “Master” and it’s a simple, yet powerful theme that can be used as a blog or magazine. It is a very light theme coded in a minimalistic fashion.  I know that it is not the best theme out there and it is not even the best of what I can accomplish with WordPress, but what makes is a special theme is the fact that it will have premium and very affordable, yet admirable, support and customization services around it.

Do I have to pay for the theme?

No, the theme will be available for free download and usage. The theme in fact is being released under the GPL license which is the same license that WordPress uses. The theme will also have free updates and upgrades forever. Also, I hope we guys build a great support forum for this theme and others to come which will also be free to access, ask and answer.

What do I have to pay for than?

You might never have to pay for anything. But, in case you need help to set up the theme, configure the plugins etc, you might want to buy one of the five (5) service packages that will come along with the theme. These packages vary from setup to theme enhancements and even PSD to the actual theme. More information about this topic will come along with the theme release.

How much do I have to wait for the theme?

Hopefully, not much. I have submitted the theme to WordPress theme directory and as soon as the guys of WordPress make the theme come live, I will make it available for my readers too. I fact I want the theme to be downloaded only from WordPress theme directory, that is why I am not releasing it right now, even thought the theme can be called finished. I think the guys at WordPress won’t need more than 2-3 days to approve it.

Where can I preview the theme?

Just below. I am attaching an image preview of the theme for the curious guys to have a look and hopefully make comments, suggestions and constructive criticism if there is needed any.

Master WordPress Theme

Bottom line

This is what I wanted to share with you this time. If you have not yet subscribed to my RSS feeds or by Email, this is a great chance to do so and stay tuned for great themes, services and resources to come. Also, I would love to hear your thoughts, so post a comment and you will be rewarded with a back-link from my site.

WPlancer has at last a new WordPress freelance portfolio

After months of designing and coding WordPress blogs and websites, after months of offering consulting and support to my clients, I managed at last to put together some of my favorite web projects which would be called  my portfolio. Struggling for time and rocking my mind about how my new portfolio page should look like, I decided at last that it should be a simple one and have the shape, look and feel that you can see now.

What you can see at my portfolio is about 1/4 of all sites I have been working on. The websites that I have featured are the ones I enjoyed the most developing and are almost 100% my own work. I have been working on other great sites, but for some reason I  chose not to present them at my portfolio. However, you can find more about my works just googling  the “by WPlancer” phrase.

I’m not going to talk any longer, I think I said enough. I would love to hear how you find my new portfolio and the works I have done. Also, if you are in need of a WordPress designer or a WordPress coder or you just need other WordPress related services, you have found the right person – just contact me and you will see we will have a wonderful experience together.

Hacking Knowledge: 77 Ways to Learn Faster, Deeper, and Better

I just finished reading a wonderful, helpful and enjoyable article. It was a well-thought and well-organized list of ways how to learn faster, deeper and better. Please find below the classification of the learning advice:

  1. Health
  2. Balance
  3. Perspective and Focus
  4. Recall Techniques
  5. Visual Aids
  6. Verbal and Auditory Techniques
  7. Kinesthetic Techniques
  8. Self-Motivation Techniques
  9. Supplemental Techniques
  10. For Teacher, Tutors and Parents
  11. For Students and Self-Studiers
  12. Parting Advice

This is the part I liked, enjoyed and learned more of. This piece reminds of the time I was a student and got bored systematically because my teachers had nothing good to say:

Be engaged. Surprise. Sometimes students are bored because they know more than is being taught, maybe even more than a teacher. (Hopefully teachers will assess what each student already knows.) Students should discuss with a teacher if they feel that the material being covered is not challenging. Also consider asking for additional materials.
Teach yourself. Teachers cannot always change their curricula. If you’re not being challenged, challenge yourself. Some countries still apply country-wide exams for all students. If your lecturer didn’t cover a topic, you should learn it on your own. Don’t wait for someone to teach you. Lectures are most effective when you’ve pre-introduced yourself to concepts.
