The main argument is: Tables are not created to assist you in the Content structure of a website. 
Tables are container of data-information. When someone has a Table in a website, it means (or it should mean): &quot;Here I have some data in a table&quot; just like in Excel or similars. From the semantic meaning of HTML, it is wrong to use Tables for design purposes :)
